Iwokrama is a one million acre pristine rainforest in central Guyana, South America.  It is one of only four remaining pristine rainforests and is managed and conserved by Iwokrama International Centre (ICC), a non-profit organisation that aims to create a global model for the sustainable management of rainforests.

At the forefront of research and development into sustainable rainforest management, the ICC has pioneered a financial agreement with equity firm Canopy Capital, to create and launch a financial instrument that will value the environmental benefit provided by the rainforest including rainfall generation, climate regulation, bio-diversity maintenance and water storage.

Greenhouse works with the ICC to build the international profile of Iwokrama as a model for sustainable rainforest management and eco system services.
